To ensure that you are up-to-date on changes to the National
Building Code for 2005 and B365 2001.
To review recent changes to several product safety standards,
To address technical issues in the field which you may need
to have clarified by your instructor
To review appliance types, and
To review basic clearances for wood burning systems.
Scope:
The New & Review
course is designed to serve as an efficient way for you to go over what you
learned in the first WETT course(s) you took and to cover what may have changed
since then. If you’ve had lingering questions about any regulations or technologies,
this is the course for you!

review of appliance types
review of basic clearances for wood burning systems
venting systems update, which covers chimney lining systems and chimney sizing
and location.
Output:
For inspectors
with a certificate of Successful Completion of the Code Compliance course (pre
1998), successful completion of the course (70% on the examination), when combined
with the necessary 80 weeks of visual inspection experience, results in WETT certification
Basic Inspection. For industry members, successful completion of the course (70%
on the examination) results in one continuing education credit.
